Truce welcomes BLNKiT, a directing duo born from the creative collaborations of Josh Dawson and Astrid Salomon. 

Responding to a global trend of high energy, kinetic and elevated executions, the directors are embracing change and their newfound synergy. Josh said, “Astrid and I are very proud of the work we’ve been able to deliver over the years, but we’ve always known that there is more potential when we put our heads together. By officially putting a 'ring on it', we've made a commitment to each other to combine our skills and push the ceiling higher.” 

Astrid said, “Funnily enough, we first met helping each other on a music video a decade ago, and since then we have been each other's soundboard to our ideas. BLNKiT is a way to merge our sensibilities and really go forth with all our passion for telling stories that connect and entertain people.” 

The Yin to each other's Yang, individually Josh and Astrid have tackled most genres from fashion, beauty, light-hearted and cinematic storytelling, VFX-heavy concepts, and lifestyle. Now, as BLNKiT, they’re ready to broaden their creative horizons and take on even more ambitious briefs.

The pair were both repped in Australia by Truce Production Co. before forming the duo.

Truce head of production Michael Ciccone said, “This genuinely feels like a new signing for us. We already know Astrid has an immense talent for crafting emotion and connection on screen, while Josh creates alternative worlds and adds layers of visual magic into everything he does. But this is a ‘two-heads-are-better-than-one’ move that makes them an exciting proposition”. 

BLNKiT’s latest is a campaign for indie perfume brand PERDRISÂT.
